🌀 How to Use

New here? Start with verification and the server rules. When you are ready to create your character, follow the Newcomer guide. Use the section menu to find a topic.

✨ WCSB Guidelines

VERIFICATION: In order to verify, you must read through the SERVER RULES and reword one server rule upon opening your verification ticket in our Discord server. Roleplayers will also need to provide a 1-2 paragraph warrior cats roleplay example.

Spectators are still required to read through the server rules and reword one rule. They are not required to provide a roleplay example.

Roleplayers

  • Read through Server Rules before verifying
  • Read through Character Rules while creating your character
  • Read Literature Rules before you plan on roleplaying within the server

Spectators

  • Read through Server Rules before verifying with the instructions above or asking for partnerships

🟣 Server Rules

18+ Age Restriction

  • All members are required to be 18 or older upon verifying, lying about this will result in a permanent ban

Profanity

  • Cursing is allowed, but slurs and derogatory words are not, even if you can reclaim them.
  • No racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, etc.
  • NO NSFW CONTENT - Spoiling is NOT an exception to this rule

Drama

  • Do not spread gossip or rumors about other members, open a ticket with staff if you have an issue with someone and need help resolving it.
  • Making server members uncomfortable or creating a tense environment as a new or old member may subject you to a ban if staff deem it necessary.

Mini-Modding

  • Leave moderation to the staff team and refrain from answering questions in the help channels, enforcing rules, etc.
  • Open a ticket with staff if you believe we need to enforce a rule or be made aware of a situation.

DMing Staff Members

  • Only DM staff members if you have a problem with another staff member that cannot be resolved in a ticket.
  • Otherwise, for issues with members or roleplay rules, please open a ticket instead.

Advertising

  • Do NOT advertise (E.g.: links and coercing) another server without permission
  • Open a ticket if you are interested in partnering your server with WCSB

Warrior Cats Knowledge

  • We are primarily a Roblox WCUE roleplay server. Our attendance requirements can only be met through Roblox roleplay and the text roleplay servers are optional but still canon content.
  • Reading the first series, or at least first book, is required to join this roleplay
  • Exceptions to this rule are made if you demonstrate extensive knowledge through your verification.

Art Integrity

  • Art theft is not allowed
  • Tracing or using a base without credit is considered art theft
  • Using another person’s art without credit is considered art theft
  • NO USE OF AI IS ALLOWED IN THIS SERVER

By verifying, you acknowledge all rules and regulations above. If a rule is broken, the staff team will decide unanimously if the user’s actions warrant a strike. Once 3 strikes are reached, you will be permanently banned. We reserve the right to ban anyone before 3 strikes if they make multiple members of the server very uncomfortable on multiple instances. Strikes expire at the staff’s discretion and evaluation depending on the severity of the strikes given. Staff will notify you when a strike has been removed from your account.

🔵 Literature Rules

ROLEPLAYERS: We suggest you give the literature rules a skim-through before entering roleplay.

NON-ROLEPLAYERS/SPECTATORS: It is not required to read the literature or character rules before verification.

Respect Boundaries

  • Discontinue what you are doing if your roleplay partner expresses:
  • Discomfort with where the roleplay is going
  • Discomfort with how other characters are regarding their character
  • Uneasy about actions done by your character
  • Re-evaluate and compromise where you want the roleplay to head next
  • Ask the staff team in a ticket if you cannot find the right words to explain your issue or if you have difficulty confronting the player yourself.

Grammar

  • Correct grammar is expected
  • Recommended grammar includes: “Dialogue.” ‘Thoughts.’ Action.
  • Some styles of roleplay vary from this, but as long as you follow close to the rules and your writing is legible/makes sense, you are fine!

Breaking the Warrior or Medicine Cat Code

  • Breaking the code should not be common. Going against the code should usually always result in punishment. Sneaking out, rejecting StarClan, and speaking against your leader are all serious violations.
  • Examples of Punishments from the Books
  • Giving a Warrior temporary Apprentice Duties
  • Gathering Rights Revoked
  • Camp Confinement
  • Isolation
  • Name Change
  • Exile
  • Death (rare)

God Modding

  • Spectating or viewing other Clan roleplays in the chat or by free camera is allowed.
  • However, do NOT take information to your own clan.
  • Example: You cannot claim Greypaw witnessed Shinepaw getting murdered by Ripplepaw if Greypaw was sleeping in their den.

Initiating Clan Wars

  • Clan leaders MUST ensure that the other Clan leaders agree OUTSIDE of roleplay to have a battle or war. Open a ticket with staff and we will assist you in planning this process with the other Clan’s leadership.
  • This applies to all kinds of attacks such as: ambushes, skirmishes, and more

Battle Etiquette

  • CURRENTLY UNDER REWORK THROUGH STAFF, IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT BATTLE ETIQUETTE REACH OUT TO STAFF

Pregnancy and Mates

  • Roleplaying “mating” or anything suggesting it is NOT ALLOWED in roleplay.
  • Physically harming or threatening to harm a known pregnant cat is against the rules and will result in a strike.
  • Your character does not need a mate to produce kits in this roleplay, you can have kits with whoever, and the parent carrying kits is not obligated to disclose the other parent.
  • You may choose an NPC parent to roll for litters with who will be completely inactive in the kits lives
  • Open a ticket with staff if you are ready to roll for a litter and they will assist you with the process!
  • Characters cannot roll for a litter until they are at least 25 moons of age. Queens must wait 6 moons since kitting (AKA 6 gatherings) before they may roll again.

Staff reserves the right to restrict the amount of incoming kits in a clan. If asked, we can provide logic behind the restriction, but usually it is due to a lack of mentors for apprentices

Canon Characters

  • Your character cannot be related to canon Warrior Cats series characters in any way.
  • DO NOT USE NAMES FROM THE WARRIOR CATS SERIES (Ex. Fireheart, Sandstorm) Staff will double check the name before accepting your character sheet/submission.

Senselessly Injuring Characters

  • Injuries are allowed, but do not make your cat suddenly wake up blind or any other injuries that cannot happen without proper reasoning.
  • Reach out to staff about serious injury plans for your cat, and be sure to notify your Medicine Cat player

🟢 Character Rules

ROLEPLAYERS: Read through the Character Rules when creating your character. Reach out to staff if you have any questions,

Attendance Requirements

  • If a member misses 4 (non-holiday) sessions in a row, their character will become sick. If they miss 10 sessions in a row TOTAL, their character will die of inactivity.
  • Reminders are issued via DM or ticket of how many missed sessions you are at
  • In order to count as attending a session, you must roleplay your alive character for 30 minutes and send at least 5 messages interacting with characters.
  • If a member opens a ticket to discuss their inactivity beforehand, their character will be given an extension.

Hiatus Requirements

Below is a table detailing what is required for requesting hiatus from staff. You may request a hiatus from sessions, meaning no absences during that time will count against you, if you meet the following requirements. The third column is how long the given hiatus lasts.

Short Term Hiatus

4 Sessions Attended

Lasts About 1 month

Long Term Hiatus

10 Sessions Attended

Lasts 1-4 Months

Emergency Hiatus

Circumstance-Specific

Specified Length

Emergency Hiatuses are available to server members who have specific, important circumstances that they feel do not allow them to attend regularly. These can be claimed via opening a ticket with the staff and explaining your situation - you are not required to give details for your own comfort.

Staff will - upon granting an Emergency Hiatus - check in with you semi-regularly based on your communication preferences, which can be via DM or via a Ticket.

Emergency Hiatuses will not be allowed to be abused, and may not be granted if the staff team feel like the circumstance does not apply.

Leaving Policy

  • If you want to leave the group, please make a ticket to discuss the leave period with the staff team. We want to be sure your character exits the roleplay as you want them to.
  • If you leave the group without informing us, we will attempt to reach out. If we do not hear back from you within a timely manner, we will assume you do not care what happens to your character.
  • We can RETCON the above decision if you eventually reach back out to us and inform us what you want to happen to your character.
  • Leaving the group discord without notifying staff is considered leaving the roleplay, the above rules apply.

High-Rank Roles

  • Open a high role testing ticket in our Discord server if you want to apply for an open high rank role. The open roles are listed within the ticket prompt box.
  • High-Role Attendance checks are completed every 3 months. Staff will reach out to you with your attendance and inform you if you need to improve your attendance. If you do not improve your attendance as a high role, you will be subject to demotion from your rank.
  • Other violations of the Guidelines can also lead to a high-rank demotion, depending on the severity.

Appropriation

  • No feathers are allowed as accessories
  • Mental and physical conditions like: mania, psychopathy, sociopathy, etc. are strictly NOT allowed
  • If you want to create a character with a less severe mental or physical condition, do your research and please open a ticket with staff to discuss how you would accurately portray your character.
  • This is required to prevent any aspects of offensive or stereotypical depictions from the character
  • If you are creating a character from a real life minority group of which you do not identify, please understand that this is a serious choice and can affect others who do identify with these groups. If your character proves offensive or harmful to other players, we will warn you of this behavior and request improvement through more research. If improvement is not made, your character will have to be removed from roleplay and a strike will be given to you.

Personality/Main Character Syndrome

  • Refrain from creating idealistic or flawless characters, everyone has flaws.
  • Do not encourage your character to go against your Clan/Group’s customs or ideals
  • Characters are allowed to have differing opinions from their clan, all we ask is to refrain from their entire personality being “I am a RiverClan cat but I HATE RiverClan, all the other RiverClan cats are stinky fish eaters!”
  • Refrain from making your character the “main character” where all of their actions are not affected or properly influenced by the cats around them. Have consideration for the fact that while their view is their own, they still have flaws and can see and understand the actions of others as intended.
  • “Main character syndrome is defined by a series of behaviors in which you see yourself as the main character in the story of your life. You are the protagonist and everyone else is often a sidekick or a villain. You often see yourself as the most important person in the room, and you act according to the narrative of your plot — however you define it.” (Sourced from Cleveland Clinic)

Romance

  • Kits are allowed to crush on each other as young children innocently would, but please ensure you are keeping their romantic feelings as naive and faultless.
  • Apprentices are allowed to have puppy crushes on one another, but nothing with serious romantic intentions.
  • If two apprentices have puppy love crushes for one another, and one reaches their Warrior naming first, keep their relationship to that of puppy love until they are both warriors.
  • This applies only to apprentices and newly made warriors within 3 moons of each other. (Ex. A 12 moon old young warrior and 10 moon old apprentice)
  • To AVOID large age gaps in romantic relationships, cats under the age of 25 moons are not permitted to have romantic relations with a character older by 10 moons or more. Once a cat reaches 25 moons, they are free to have romance with a cat of any higher age.
  • Ex. an 18 moon cat can date a 26 moon cat, but not a 29 moon old

Character Age and Progression

  • NON-kit characters age up every Full Moon/Gathering in roleplay, even if you do not attend a session.
  • Kits age up every real-life week
  • Elder stat adjustments are given out at the most by 120 moons old. We will open a ticket with you if you do not request it by then.
  • A warrior can go to senior warriors when they’re ready or once they reach 90 moons.

Character Creation

  • Follow the Newcomer Guide when creating your character.

Death/Removing from Roleplay

  • Killing your character off or removing them from the roleplay temporarily (ie. catnapped by twolegs) is not allowed unless you have roleplayed in 15 sessions with that character.
  • If you have demonstrated regular attendance in the past and good activity, staff will allow this rule to be accepted for 10 sessions rather than 15 sessions.
  • If you want to kill your character but have attended 4 sessions, we will allow this on a case-by-case basis, but you will be banned from high roles for 6 months.
  • Killing multiple characters before 15 sessions will also result in a high role ban or strike, depending on the amount of offenses.

Bad Stats/Becoming Warriors

Keep in mind that stats will not go above their maximum, depending on the stats you already have. If 3 stats are at 10 or more then we will not allow stat increases from becoming a warrior/medicine cat/mediator to avoid overpowered/unrealistic characters.

  • After completing your warrior apprenticeship, you will have 3 extra points to add to any of the following:
  • Strength
  • Toughness
  • Perception
  • Dexterity
  • Medicine Cats may choose from the following options below once completing their apprenticeship
  • Toughness
  • Perception
  • Dexterity
  • Mediators may choose from the options below once completing their apprenticeship:
  • Strength
  • Perception
  • Dexterity
  • Dark Forest Trainee’s may choose from the options upon completing their training:
  • Strength
  • Toughness
  • Perception

Creating a Kitty Cat

  1. Review the following documents before rolling stats:
  1. WCSB Available Roles & Allegiances - Excel sheet to track all available slots in and outside of the clans
  2. Stat guide - Reference to know how your stats affect your character’s appearance and strengths/weaknesses
  1. Head to the Stat-Roll channel and ping the @ MOD role to get started with your rolls, they will explain the process to you there.
  1. Your full calculated stat sheet will be posted in Stat-Sheets and you will be pinged. Copy/Paste this on the last page of your character sheet.
  1. Begin working on your character sheet! The template for it is OC NAME : WCSB Submission. Make a copy of the document and reach out in questions if you need help in creating it. Here are some other resources for creating your cat:
  1. Example character sheet - Example of what your character sheet could look like when fully filled out! This is a ThunderClan warrior sheet, so yours will vary based on role and Clan/group.
  2. Morph-Help - Submit your morph pics here to verify your fortitude and stealth match your stat list
  1. Check out clan-specific morph characteristics. Your cat has to be genetically related to the clans to use these traits. (Kittypets and Loner backgrounds can have any of the clan traits. Rogues will have the traits of the clan they were originally from)
  1. Name-Help - Either use the LittleCloud/Applepaw bot to generate names or ask for help from other verified members for name ideas.
  2. Skills reference - Use this resource to find what starting skills your character will have! The Google Sheet linked here lists all available skills to your cat.
  1. Ping @Skills Helper in questions if you need help with this
  2. You may also open a private thread in our skills-help channel and ping @Skills Helper in the thread if you need help.
  1. Once you finish your document, post it in Cat-Submission for staff to review. They will let you know if you either successfully submitted or need to edit a few things before being a verified character. Once you are approved, post your sheet in Cat-Overview.

Origin

Snowkit was born during a harsh leafbare, a very strenuous time for her clan. She was raised against the forgiving warmth of her loving mother, Fallendawn. Fallen made sure that Snowkit knew that she was cared for deeply despite her own stress from a freezing season. Snowkit’s father passed away a few moons after she was born, making the season harder for both her mother and herself.

Once being named Snowpaw and beginning her apprenticeship, the eager molly set out to make her mother proud. Fallendawn showered her in endearing and well-deserved praise. Snowpaw worked hard to make her proud. One day, while out on a patrol with her mother and mentor, Snowpaw is shocked to hear her mother yowl out from the bushline. Fallendawn had gone off ahead on her own, looking for some fresh GreenLeaf prey. A twoleg had spotted her pale pelt among the bushes and eagerly snatched her up. Snowpaw desperately tried to run after her mother, only to be held back in the safety of the treeline by her mentor. With tears in her eyes, Snowpaw is carried back to camp. The rest of her apprenticeship is somber in comparison to its exciting start.

On the tail end of LeafFall, Snowpaw is named Snowspark. Her name was earned through the eager attitude she mustered near the end of her apprenticeship, despite the loss of Fallendawn. Snowspark’s time as a warrior has been kinder to her than her apprenticeship was. She is an extremely skilled tree climber, her overgrown claws giving her a firm grip of the bark. Her bright pelt makes hunting difficult during any season outside of LeafBare, but she makes up for it by using her tree climbing skills to her advantage. She pounces neatly on prey from above or from a hiding spot behind a tree, patiently waiting for a squirrel to skirt up the other side.

Personality

Snowspark is optimistic, kind-hearted, and always willing to offer a smile. Her clanmates say any smile from her can instantly brighten their day. Snowspark also cherishes getting to teach her clanmates about her passion for climbing, especially younger apprentices just getting out of camp for the first time.

She struggles with her past when she is alone, holding onto the fact that her mother must return some day. This grip on the past leads to a struggle with losing herself in the delusions of it. It is a secret she keeps to herself and one she fears bringing up to even her closest friends.

🪻 Stat Guide

Disclaimer

Having higher stats does not always equal better stats as there are natural drawbacks to having these high values. For example, 15/15 perception can mean intense paranoia as well as being overly aware and 15/15 strength means that a cat struggles to be gentle in many contexts and might accidentally harm those around them in trying to be gentle.

Also, please note that just because you might outmatch another character’s stats that does not mean you have the immediate upper hand without first asking for player permission/consent. The stats are meant to be a guide for interaction not a deciding factor for how an interaction must go. If your character has high perception and is wanting to notice a character of low stealth sneaking about, you still need to ask permission to do so. This is the same expectation placed on high stealth characters trying to bypass a high perception noticing them. Communication goes both ways and stats themselves are not an override of our rule against meta-gaming!

Strength

Defined as how well a character holds their own and how strong of a hit they can attempt. Excessive and minimal strength leads to different struggles.

1-3

Sickly or elderly, incredibly weak

4-9

Average strength

10-11

Above average strength

12-13

Incredible strength, some difficulty with acting gently around other cats

14-15

Claw overgrowth and the cat equivalent of “heavy hand”. Kits and herbs will be at risk around you due to clumsiness

Toughness

Equivalent to durability or how well your character can take a hit from another, as well as general responses to pain.

1-3

Thin-skinned, extremely sensitive to injury and pain

4-9

Average reaction to pain, mild inconvenience

10-13

High pain tolerance

14+

Numbness to pain and injury, struggles to recognize if they are harmed without visual cue

Dexterity

The speed and mobility as well as agility of a character. This stat contributes to the weight and speed stat.

1-3

Not able to speed up past a canter and commonly clumsy/uncoordinated

4-9

Normal movement

10-13

Use of jogging as a walking speed

14+

Can avoid most actions against them when facing of against slower cats

Stealth

An up to date guide for stealth and fortitude examples of varying colors and fur lengths is linked here: Stealth and Fortitude examples

If you need assistance in creating your morph please message in morph help and a trained moderator will assist you in adjusting your morph to fit your stats.

Fortitude

1

Very short coat or furless coat (sphynx, cornish rex)

2

Short coat (Abyssinian, domestic shorthair)

3

Average cat (British short hair)

4

Long coat (ragdoll)

5

Winter coat (norwegian forest cat)

Perception

A cat’s awareness of their surroundings. If a cat’s perception outnumbers the stealth of another cat, then it is more likely for them to be spotted either sneaking around or attempting to hide actions such as limping. Make sure to discuss with your roleplay partner if they’re alright with being perceived realistically

1

Blind or deaf*

2

Partial blindness or partial hearing loss*

3-9

Average sight and hearing

10-11

Above average sight and hearing

12-13

Incredible awareness

14

Paranoia

15

Paranoia and ghost vision (the ability to see limbo cats with permission and plot request)

Fertility

A cat's ability and likelihood to have kits, contributes to parenting stat level and their proficiency in caring for kits.

1

Infertile, unable to have kits

11

Ability to have a maximum of 4 kits in a litter rather than the average 3 if BOTH the XX and XY parent have fertility of 11

Luck

A cat's overall luck is determined by a final d9 roll after all other stats have been chosen by the player.

1-3

Low luck means a character is more likely to have low hunting and low gathering capability, overall struggles with things going a character’s way

4-6

Average luck overall without much indication in everyday effects

7-9

High luck could mean a character is better at hunting and/or gathering along with things often going their way in everyday life

Other Stats (Calculated off of Rolled Stats)

Size

*Note: Staff will reach out to you to notify you at what age your cat can size up*

Small - use young warrior morph as an adult

Average - use normal sized warrior as an adult

Large/XL - use either normal sized or large warrior as an adult and the young warrior morph as an apprentice

Weight

Light - Consumes less prey than other cats, more agile but easier to overpower by a heavier cat

Average - Average weight and ability

Heavy - Difficulty with agility, litheness, and moving swiftly compared to other cats

Physical Ability/Health

Indicates character prowess in battle, immunity to disease, and bodily upkeep. Average is the benchmark for everyday functionality while low indicates a sickly or weaker cat.

Speed

Character’s ability to run where any value below average means a character cannot move faster than a canter.

Tactics

Indicates a character’s ability to plan and solve problems while moving stealthily. The lower this is the more difficulty a cat will have in resisting spontaneous or risky action.

Sustainability

Character’s ability to self-sustain without outside support or resources. If it is lower, a character may be more dependent on clanmates for survival.

Visibility

Character’s ability to hide, stalk, and spy on others based on how hidden they become. Cats with low visibility are better at hunting and scouting compared to highly visible cats.

Parenting

Character’s ability to raise, nurture, and appeal to kits. Lower scores means more difficulty in properly raising kits on their own.

Hunting

Character’s ability to catch prey of any type.

Low Hunting Modifier: -3

Average Hunting Modifier: 0

High Hunting Modifier: +3

Gathering

Character’s ability to gather herbs

Low Gathering Modifier: -3

Average Gathering Modifier: 0

High Gathering Modifier: +3

Clan/Background Alterations

These alterations will be added to your cats stat list once you have chosen your list. The alterations you choose do not have to be the same as the clan you are joining. For example, a cat can have Loner alterations to their stat rolls but join any of the four clans that are available to new cats. It would just mean that your cat has a history of being a loner or is genetically related to a loner in some way.

🌷 Clan Info

ᓚᘏᗢ THE WARRIOR CODE

  1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan.
  2. Elders, queens, sick or injured cats and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
  3. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
  4. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
  5. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
  6. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
  7. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled
  8. After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
  9. A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
  10. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
  11. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
  12. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
  13. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
  14. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
  15. Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the four. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall.
  16. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.

Note: Taking a kit out of camp is considered putting the kit in danger

Note: When a cat becomes a warrior, no matter their background, they are assumed to know the warrior code in its totality.

🙜 Herb Care

  • If herbs are wet, leave them out in the sun to dry
  • Gather fresh herbs when stock gets short
  • When gathering herbs, leave enough of the herb on its plant so it can reproduce when in season
  • Check herb store often, and throw out old or weak herbs
  • Wrap honey in dock leaves, with rhubarb to keep fresh
  • Use bark stripes to finish the leaf wrap, or keep the herbs together so they can be fresh

🙜 Treatments and Mixtures

Broken Bones – Wrap in cobwebs, put on compared pulp, use poppy seeds to dull pain

Displaced Bones – Give poppy seeds, wait for effect, then have a cat bite stick while you give the bone a tug and hear it click into place, give them another poppy seed so they sleep

Poultice For Broken Bones – Stringing nettle and comfrey

Traveling Herbs – Chamomile, Burnet, Daisy Leaves or Sorrel. Lambs Ear and Ragweed also work

Healing Remedies Without Using Herbs

  • Gently nipping a cat's spine and poking it hard with a claw tests to see if the backbone is broken. If the subject does not feel the nip or poke, the spine is broken. Many times a medicine cat will have to poke/nip the subject multiple times in different places to find the break.
  • Licking a cat's fur can help clean wounds, and comfort/calm down a shocked or grieving cat, and licking fur backward will warm a cat who has become cold.
  • Soaking moss in water and holding the drilling moss before a stock, injured or weak cat makes it easier for them to drink. Soaked moss can also be used to cool feverish cats.
  • Rosemary or mint can be used to lighten the death-scent of a dead cat before burial.
  • Using nectar, honey of mouse blood can make herbs sweeter and more appealing to cats--therefore making it easier to take the medicine.
  • Holding a swelling wound in cold water takes down swelling. Cats can also soothe scraped pads by soaking them in water.
  • A cat with weak or hurting muscles/bones can take part in water therapy. Have them wade in water that is not too deep or shallow, and eventually they'll get stronger.
  • Having a sick cat wail or yowl keeps their lungs and chest clear of mucus.

🙜 Traditions

Medicine Cat Apprentice (In front of the clan)

Medicine Cat: “Cats of (Clan), as you know, I will not be around forever. So it's time I took an apprentice. I have chosen a cat who has shown (virtues). Your next medicine cat will be (apprentice).”

Leader: "[]paw, do you accept the post of apprentice to (insert medicine cat name here)?"

Medicine Cat Apprentice: "I do."

Leader: "Then at the half-moon, you must travel to the Moon[] to be accepted by Starclan before the other medicine cats. The good wishes of all []Clan will go with you."

Medicine Cat: "Starclan! I bring you []paw, my apprentice, and pray you accept them as you once accepted me."

(At the moonstone)

Medicine Cat: "[]paw, is it your wish to share the deepest knowledge of Starclan as a []Clan medicine cat?"

Medicine Cat Apprentice: "It is."

Medicine Cat: "Warriors of Starclan, I present to you this apprentice. They have chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant them your wisdom and insight so they may understand your ways and heal their Clan in accordance with your will."

At the end of both, all medicine cats will touch their nose to the Moonstone or Moonpool, and talk with Starclan.

Medicine Cat Ceremony

Medicine Cat: "I, (name), medicine cat of []Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help they will serve their Clan for many moons.”

Medicine Cat: “[]paw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

Medicine Cat Apprentice: "I do.”

Medicine Cat: "Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your true name as a medicine cat. []paw, from this moment you will be known as (new name). Starclan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of []Clan!"

The medicine cat rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and they lick the mentor's shoulder.

Clan Or Other Medicine Cats: "(chant new name)!"

☆ Ceremonies

༄ Warrior Ceremony

When an apprentice has finished six moons of training, they are given their full warrior name and are welcomed as a full member of the Clan:

Leader: I, (Leader), leader of (Clan), call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?

Apprentice: I do.

Leader: Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. (Apprentice), from this moment you will be known as (new warrior name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full warrior of (Clan).

༄ Leader Ceremony

When the former leader dies, the new leader goes to the Moonstone, where they touch their nose to the stone and commune with StarClan. Nine cats give the leader their nine lives, each, saying these words:

Life-Giver: (Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head) With this life I give you (gift). Use it well (to, in, as, for, etc.) (use of gift)

When each life has been given, the previous leader comes forward and says these words:

Previous Leader: I hail you by your new name, ()star. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of ()Clan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity.

༄ Deputy Ceremony

A new deputy must be made at or before moonhigh after the previous deputy was killed, exiled, retired, or became leader!

The leader comes before the Clan to name the new deputy and says:

Leader: I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors (or former deputy name) may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of (Clan) is (warrior's name)

༄ Apprentice Ceremony

When a kit reaches six moons, they are made into an apprentice. This ceremony can also occur if a cat joins a Clan, as very rarely does a Clan make a rogue a full member immediately. The following words are said:

Leader: (Kit), you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as (new name, ending with "paw"). Your mentor will be (name of warrior or medicine cat). I hope (name of warrior or medicine cat) will pass down all they know on to you. The leader calls up the warrior they have chosen as a mentor.

Leader: (Warrior), you are ready to take on an apprentice. You are an excellent warrior (or "You had received excellent training from (former mentor)") and you have shown yourself to be (quality) and (quality). You will be the mentor of (apprentice), and I expect you to pass on all you know to (apprentice).

༄ Elder Ceremony

When a warrior finds themselves to be unable to continue their everyday duties, they become an elder. This ceremony is held with great respect for the said warrior. No lazy cat becomes an elder, however. The leader says these words at the ceremony:

Leader: (Warrior), is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?

Warrior: It is.

Leader: Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon StarClan to give you many moons of rest.

☽ Age Guide

Kits: 0 - 6 moons

Apprentices: 6 - 15 moons

Young Warriors: 12 - 19 moons

Warriors: 20-60 moons

Mentors: 20 - 100+ moons

Queens: 20 moons - 180+ moons

Deputies: 25+ moons (Mentoring experience required)

Leader: 50+ moons

Senior warriors: 60 - 108 moons

Elder Warrior: 108 - 132 moons

Elders: Whenever your OC feels ready or 133 moons, whichever comes earlier.

☽ Warrior Type Guide

Young Warrior - 12-20 Moons (1 Year to 1 Year, 8 Months)

When you become a Warrior is usually between 12-15, but Young Warriors already de-facto exist as a category - we disallow cats to have kits at this age, and they can't mentor.

Warrior - 20-60 Moons (1 Year, 8 Months to 6 Years)

The bulk of the Warriors (hence having the usual 8 slots) - Usual Warrior Roles, Nothing Changes here, where most cats die anyhow.

Senior Warrior - 60-108 Moons (6 Years-9 Years)

Senior warriors are given respect, and are often asked for advice by the Clan leader. Senior warriors are also tasked with leading patrols, and filling in for the Clan deputy should they be unavailable, such as Adderfang filling in for Tawnyspots. These are cats in their prime with the experience to back it up.

Elder Warrior - 108-132 Moons (9 Years-11 Years)

Cats that are coming towards the end of feasibly being able to work and serve the clan - Still seen for advice and the like, but less relied on for filling in for the deputy and/or leader. Cats can retire whenever they feel ready, but 132 is the cut-off point. Only Leaders can feasibly still be active and fit post 132 moons (See Squirrelstar becoming a Leader at 10 Years) - Being this level doesn't mean you can't do things, but that you're starting to get to that point - different cats will feel it more at different ages.

You can join the Elders, which is a distinct separate role, whenever you feel ready. Whenever you are ready your oc can be submitted in #cat-submission for elder stat updates reducing all stats to 1-3 depending on their original stats.

☽ Kit Age Guide

Kits age up every Saturday

Session 2 - Eyes are open, and they're sort of crawling around but no real words yet (1/2 a Moon)

Session 3 - They're a moon old now, so they can walk and speak simple words/sentences (1 Moon)

Session 5 - They'll be a bit faster and more steady but still kid-voiced (2 Moons)

Session 7 - They're able to speak properly now, but they're about as smart as a 6-7 year old kid (3 Moons)

Session 9 - See above, about 8/9 (4 Moons)

Session 11 - Ditto, about 10/11 (5 Moons)

Session 13 - Ditto, about 12/13 (6 Moons)

  • Hunt for the clan before eating

➷ Apprentice/Mentors:

  • Apprentices only come in at 6 moons (unless really good reason or backstory).
  • Will make prompts for people to use either in game or event announcements occasionally extending this into something for warriors as well ie " there is a dog running loose around the bridge and either side of the gorge this session" or "Cleaning Out Nursery in WindClan To Prepare For Kits." These will be sent out at least once per moon. We accept suggestions on prompts in #suggestions
  • Apprentices and mentors have to train once every moon and/or use the prompts (Prompts are there to help give ideas not fully lead what people are doing). Trps do count but only for the moon they are finished and reported in. Using the prompts counts as training and any below text referring to "training" is referring to either regular training or prompt event rp.
  • Report training in #apprentice-training
  • We will be tracking this on a hidden spreadsheet, just like attendance. You may ask for your personal records in #questions or in a ticket.
  • If mentors fail to train 2 moons in a row apprentices will be reassigned (StarClan will send a message to the leader to reassign the apprentice.) If mentors don't train your apprentice at least 4 times, then that apprentice does not qualify your character for deputy or leadership eligibility.
  • If mentors go on hiatus for 2 moons or more (10 sessions) their apprentice will be assigned to another mentor temporarily. New mentor will require leader, apprentice, and new mentor approval.
  • If apprentices go on hiatus, this will not count against their mentor's for reassignment. But you will not learn any lessons and your leader may, at their discretion, withhold your naming ceremony to up to 15 moons old.
  • You must rp the training for at least 30 minutes within the session if you are rping the lesson in roblox for it to count. You must text rp for at least 6 messages from mentor and apprentice of at least 3 sentence length to qualify as a lesson.
  • Repeated failing to properly mentor your apprentice will get you removed from getting an apprentice in the future.
  • Mentors are 20+ moons and not the kits parents. Mentors under 20 moons or the kits parents will be approved on a case by case basis. Cats who are on hiatus will not be approved for mentorship. It makes little to no sense for a leader to appoint a sick or injured cat an apprentice.
  • Cats who have not mentored an apprentice cannot be leader or deputy with rare exceptions on a case by case basis. This will apply on the honor system for current warriors.

To further simulate real life and add an option for kits born to a mother that dies during kitting we will be bringing in a naturally occurring phenomenon. Cats that have had at least one litter in the past can experience a hormonal imbalance that can either induce a false pregnancy in which they produce milk or begin producing milk within a 24-72 hour period if they hear the cries of abandoned or hungry kits. This is not common, but it has been observed in many feral cat colonies as well as housecats.
The requirements for this will be as follows.
1: Have the biological capabilities to produce milk.
2: Have 11/11 fertility.
3: Have had a litter previously.
4: Be in close proximity to kits.
This will also allow for kits found before 2 moons to be nursed by a cat that meets these requirements.
